Howdy, thanks for takin' a look at our lil' ol' website. In my newsletters, I write about various shootin', huntin' and reloadin' topics, along with some family and neighborhood happenings. The various products I write about are items I have bought for my own use, and there ain't nobody payin' me to say anything, good or bad, about this stuff. (They ain't sendin' me on any of them 'all expenses paid' guided hunts either, dang it!) Please visit the Newsletters page for a table of contents and links to each of the newsletters on the site. What you read here, will be as close to the truth as I can remember it! (Unless, of course, I'm pullin' your leg or tellin' a whopper, and should that happen it'll be pretty obvious.) But, be assured of one thing: I won't write nothin' about shootin' huntin' and reloadin' that I ain't SAFELY done before! If you would like to exchange email about some of the things you read here, please do. If I didn't like discussin' this stuff, I wouldn't write about it! NEW: Above you see a link to a new section of the site called 'Stories From The Past.' Check them out. They may bring back memories of earlier and more simple times. This is the site that will contain newsletters from May/June 2014, forward. Please Note that I have also begun moving pages from the old hillbilly site to this one and have added nineteen of those back to November 2011. Also I have moved ANN'S CORNER to this site and added a new 'ABOUT US' page. Links in the box above will get you there. I have also moved the Hunter Education page and Reloadin' Stuff page to this site. The old site will still have the other content you were seeing prior to creation of jimparman.com. I activated jimparman.com primarily in order to administer the site from my MAC computer, as I plan to go 100% MAC in the future. The oldmissourihillbilly.com site was built from the beginning, over ten years ago, with Microsoft FrontPage on my old Sony Desktop PC. Microsoft support ended for FrontPage several years ago, and many Web Hosting Services are beginning to phase out FrontPage extensions on their servers. So, I'm trying to learn to use a WYSIWYG web development software called KompoZer. I hope to gradually convert all my materials to the same simple HTML format and move away from FrontPage altogether. Please bear with me, as it takes some time to teach an old dog new tricks!
