Coerced Into The "Corner"

(co-erce:  to force someone to do something by using threats or violence)

Louisiana Style Baked Shrimp


(serves 4 as appetizers - 2 as entree)

pkg Jumbo raw shrimp (tail & shell on – which is about 21 shrimp)
4 T butter
4 T olive oil
2 T plus 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 T  hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
tsp cayenne pepper
1 T minced garlic
1 tsp dry mustard
2 T chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Preheat oven 375 degrees.  Place butter & olive oil in 9 x 13 baking dish - put in oven till butter melts. Remove from oven. Stir in remaining ingredients - make sure bottom of pan is evenly coated with sauce. Add shrimp turning to coat both sides. Marinate @ room temp 15 min.

Bake, uncovered, 14-18 min (will take longer if shrimp is chilled) until shrimp turn pink & temp of shrimp reaches 161 degrees as measured by food thermometer.

Serve in soup bowls w/sauce. Dip crusty bread in sauce.
